Salt Dough Ornaments

The kids and I recently made the salt dough ornaments with my friend, Elyse Dean’s recipe. So I thought I would share.

Salt Dough Recipe

- 2 cups flour

- 1 cup salt

- 1 cup water 

Bake at 250° for 2-3 hours

Having a family comes along with many things. One of them being lots of dishes. I don't know about you but I think cleaning the dishes is my most hated chore. Until now! Before dishes meant having to rinse the dishes before loading them to make sure that they would clean properly and sometimes I would even have the run them a second time because not everything would get clean. Car Activity Tray | K4 Dynamics

Anyone else have a toddler who gets bored in the car? I know we do. Calum always needs to be busy so in order to keep him happy, we got his this awesome activity tray for the car!

Ninja Foodi | Biscuits & Sausage Gravy

We recently got the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker and wanted to try out the 30 minute biscuits and sausage gravy. The Ninja Foodi is a 3-in-1 unit that has tendercrisp technology, is also an air fryer AND a pressure cooker all in one!!! How amazing is that. 

PREP: 10 MINUTES | COOK: 30 MINUTES | MAKES: 6-8 SERVINGS

Ingredients

• 1 Package(12 ounces) uncooked ground breakfast sausage, crumbled.
• 1 Tablespoon kosher salt
• 2 Teaspoons black pepper
• 2 Tablespoons butter
• 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 3 cups whole milk
• 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 tube(16.3 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough

1. Select SEAR/SAUTE and set to HIGH. Select START/STOP to begin. Allow to preheat for 5 minutes.

 2. After 5 minutes, add the sausage, salt, and pepper to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes, or until sausage browns, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

3. Add the butter and melt completely. Then add flour and stir to combine. Cook for 2 minutes, then whisk in milk. Bring to a simmer, then cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened.

4. While gravy is cooking, gently separate biscuits and fill each with cheddar cheese, sandwich style.

5. Coat the reversible rack with cooking spray, making sure rack is in the lower position. Place stuffed biscuits on rack. Once gravy has thickened, lower rack with biscuits into pot.

6. Close crisping lid. Select BAKE/ROAST, set temperature to 325 degrees, and set time to 15 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin.

7. When cooking is complete, remove rack and biscuits. Transfer biscuits to plates and top with gravy. Serve immediately.

Dockatot Deluxe | A newborn must have.

When you have your second baby, you are more aware of the things you need vs the things you think you need for a new baby. The Dockatot Deluxe is a MUST have on our list of needs.

When we had our first baby we had gotten a Dockatot Deluxe but not till he was a couple months old and I remember wishing we had gotten one from the start. It was the perfect lounger. Dinosaur Toddler Room!

We recently gave Calum a bit of a bedroom makeover. He was about to become a big brother so we wanted him to have his own special room that he would love. He absolutely loves dinosaurs so there was no question that they would be the theme of his new room. 

We got these dinosaur vinyl stickers from BDarlingDecor and they are the perfect focus point for his room. 

We decided to have his bed on the floor Montessori style to make it easier for him to get in and out of bed and made it so we didn't have to worry about him falling out. The bedding that we went with is called Love At First White from Beddy's.

Added a few simple book shelves we found on Amazon.

Last but not least, we got him this gorgeous Adams dresser from AmeriwoodHome. It is such a beautiful piece that will grow with him in the years to come.
